The awareness campaign created in collaboration between SILEA and Nameless Festival during the 2024 edition had a significant impact in promoting environmental awareness among the young participants.
The initiative used a lighthearted and engaging approach to educate the audience about the importance of waste management and environmental respect.
A dedicated space was set up within the festival: a bridge where two basketball shooting stations were installed. These stations were equipped with two large net containers, designed to collect cans thrown by participants aiming to score. The game involved a team challenge, where participants tried to shoot as many cans as possible into the basket.
Each can that made it into the basket was symbolically associated with proper waste management and earned the shooter a point; the winner of the round received a prize, further encouraging participation and engagement.
The project proved particularly effective in reaching the festival audience, fostering greater environmental awareness through an engaging game experience.
Using fun as an educational tool allowed important messages about sustainability and environmental responsibility to be communicated effectively.
